Cassie is a very small beagle mix (slightly larger than one of our largest cats at 18 lbs) who is housetrained, good with cats, dogs, and kids. She is very sweet, and about 7 years old. She really is a perfect little dog who just loves human attention.

Hayden was running with a younger dog and was brought to the local shelter as a stray. He was there nearly a month, yet no one claimed this wonderful boy who is already housetrained and knows the "sit" and "shake paw" commands. He is probably about 9 years old but you wouldn't know it, except by his exceptionally calm behavior. He gets along great with other dogs. He is 105 pounds, but he is actually a tad underweight and will probably be about 115 when he is completely healthy. We can't even tell you what an amazing, wonderful personality this guy has!

Here's the "catch" with Hayden. He tested a weak-positive for heartworms. Because of his age, we decided not to do traditional, aggressive treatment, and to go for the slow, safer treatment. This means that he will need to be on heartworm preventative and be retested every 6 months until he is clear. However, if someone wants to adopt Hayden before his tests are clear, we will pay (at our vet in Lawrenceburg) for his additional heartworm tests.

Marmaduke Our best guess is that he is Bloodhound/St. Bernard, and possibly some Great Dane. This 11 month old still has some growing to do, and is underweight at 99 lbs! He is a real sweetheart. If you love the big, slobbery, lovable dogs, this guy is for you.

Cinnamon is a 6 lb. poodle mix who is about 3 years old. She's great with other dogs and cats. We are working on crate and housetraining now. She also has an issue with her knees that we need to have fixed. She has what's called luxating patella - her knee caps pop out - in both back legs.

Update: Please read before inquiring about adopting Cinnamon. First, she has had surgery on her knee and it appears that the problem is fixed. However, we have not had much luck at housetraining her. It's possible that she can be housetrained over time, BUT if you are seriously interested in adopting her, we need to know that you either won't mind cleaning up accidents, or that you can afford doggie diapers for her long-term.
