FIV/FeLv Page 1

We rely on foster care for cats while looking for permanent home for them. If you or anyone you know are interested in fostering, please contact Victoria King at 502-859-5342, info@hollys.org

Dougal is a real survivor. This kitty came to us missing a leg and needing surgery. He also showed positive for FIV and had an upper respiratory. Feral at first, he is now a big love-bug.

Johnny , a buff and white boy, is FIV positive. He was initially semi-feral, but has really come around and loves attention and other cats. He is diabetic but it is controlled with food alone, so he does not need insulin.

Mack, a playful orange and white tabby, is one of our Feline Leukemia positive kitties.

Nina is a flame-point kitty from the Clean Slate hoarding situation in Adair Co. She is FeLv positive, and was also missing an eye. She also came to us with mange and ringworm. She is being treated for those things, and has had surgery to close up the missing eye. Nina is in a Holly's Place foster home.

Update - Unfortunately, she is still FeLv positive and is now also showing FIV positive. But, she is currently healthy and happy and generally doing well!

Scrappy also has FIV. He is one of the few who actually came from this county. Like most of our FIV boys, he's a lover and would really love a home of his own. Scrappy is a really sweet and playful boy. He eats Hills C/D.

Hawkeye came to us with a lot of bite wounds, abscesses, and swellings. He was a real mess, so we knew there was a good chance he would be positive for FIV. This poor guy actually avoids trouble with other cats, but somehow he contracted FIV by living outside anyway. Hawkeye can be somewhat unpredictable so we recommend a home without children. He also must eat Hills C/D because of urinary tract issues.
